Let me start of with this: I originally bought one of these for our Minecraft server computer and have since bought two more, one for a laptop and one for my "Beast" desktop! I definitely recommend this USB adapter for the it's ease of installation, reliability, speed, and at only $19.99, it a real steal of a price.
This network adapter works on the 5ghz or 2.4ghz band and is compatible with all 802.11 AC/N/G/B/A Wifi Routers. Also compatible with Windows PC (10, 8, 7, XP) or Mac (OS X 10.9 - 10.14). Get the ultimate speed with USB 3.0, although USB 2.0 is supported.
With over 1200 reviews (and 76% of them 4 or 5-star), the is Amazons Choice in the "wireless and desktop computer"category. Users say that it "Worked out of the box" and is"Blazing fast!"
I personally have not had any issues after more than three months of use, but some users have reported that they either couldn't get it working at all, or that it failed or slowed down after three months. Most of the poor reviews I saw were from 2016-2019, so maybe the kinks have been worked out in 2020 (at least someone is having a good 2020!)
If you need to connect a device to a wireless network, the BrosTrend USB adapter is the best value I have been able to find, that's why I have three (so far).
